Help Keypad Problem

When I make a phone call, I get the standard buttons listed as follows:

Add call
Dialpad
End Call
Speaker
Mute
Headset

Only 2 buttons work, the End Call button, and the Speaker button. I need the Dialpad button to work. Anyone have any ideas on how to get my dialpad to work?
