Links to Photos in Android Browser

When I click on a link to a photo with the stock Android browser, a blank picture comes up along with a notation in the tab saying click picture to close. But I get no photo. With Opera I do get the photo along with the notation on how to close.
Is there some setting in the stock browser thant I need to change?

What kind of device to you have and what is the name of your stock browser?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 2 Tab 10.1. The browser is the stock one that came with it. In the Task Manager it is only listed as "Internet."
