Help live wallpaper issue

so I decided to check my phone's battery usage today and noticed that the nexus one boot animation live wallpaper had use 92%, where as the android system itself had just used 2%. am I reading this wrong, or is there something wrong with the wallpaper that warrants a deletion? I should also mention that I'm not actually using the wallpaper currently, I tested it out but didn't end up keeping it in the background. thanks!
