Root Lost root on cyanogen mod

I lost root on my mytouch 3g. i cant use any features in ROM Manager. How can i regain root access?

Did you download Rom Manager, or get it in a CM rom? If you got it in a CM mod it is not the full Rom Manager and you don't get all the features. You still have root, it's the only way you can use custom Roms.

I had the same problem with rom manager installed from the market. I had to follow the unroot instructions on the unlocker and reroot.

Somehow i got root back. I talked to my brother and he told me about all the different button holds on startup. When i held home while starting up, i was able to boot my backup image that i made and it worked. Rooted and rom manager back on track. It was the wierdest thing to still have the custom rom but not being able to use the rom manager.
