Messaging Default Contact Setting?

From the messaging app, I select "New message", then "Contacts", then check a contact name. A pop-up window comes up with all the contact information including email addresses and all phone numbers. At the bottom of pop-up there is a check box with the label "Never Show Again, Add default contact in a lump." Huh? What does that mean??

I don't ever send text message to home phones or email addresses so I would really like to have the mobile number used as the default always. Can I do that?

Finally my full Google contact list is showing up in this scenario and I would like only the default contact groups I selected in the "Contacts" app to show up. Can I set that up?

Any help with those three questions is appreciated!
