"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Hilarious idea me and my navigator came up with. Print out the card they hide on normal paper, make a bunch of them.

Be the first one to the location and then start randomly hiding them all over the place before anyone else gets there. haha then look for the real one.

So wrong, hilarious, but not plausible since you'd have to be the first one.

I thought of that. You wouldn't have to be the first, people look in lots of places before and after you. Especially if the location was big like Seattle.
GOOD LUCK IN VEGAS.

yeah I have different nicks lol. So yeah I re-watched all the videos this morning to see the patterns and they definitely hide it.

If it's in a casino it's going to be really interesting.

IMO no way - they won't let you take pictures I don't see a casino letting someone else video everything especially to be put up on YouTube.

Well folks, it's been fun. I was in serious contention for the Vegas one, but did not succeed. I was literally inches, if not centimeters away from finding it, so I can't complain that I didn't get it. I started out behind because my stupid blackberry storm google maps couldn't find the coordinates for some reason. My wife got the coordinates and finally figured out it was at the Little White Wedding Chapel, literally blocks from my house...too bad I was at work 10 minutes in the other direction.

Anyway, the clue had set let it roll so I started looking at wheels and car tires. There was a pink cadillac that had four wheels and one of the cameras was focused on it, so I assumed it was there. Couldn't find it. I even tried getting into the trunk and that's when I came so close. The clue was well hidden under the lift-up license plate on the caddy. You remember how you use to have to lift the plate to fill the gas, well it was on the back side of the plate stuck to it so it didn't easily fall out. I even lifted that plate seeing if I could get in the trunk. Seconds after I looked there, someone else did and found it.

There was quite a turnout-about 30 people and it was only 110 degrees out. I got a gift card, so I didn't leave empty handed. Tried the phone for a minute and it was cool. Have to see if it will fit my budget now.

Yeah I left when they said fill out the form. I didn't win it, and the gift card was cool and all.

I think there was actually about 50 people there. There was alot for sure.

I drove down to the "Welcome To Vegas Sign" when the first clue hit. Then I was driving back down LV BLVD when the GPS hit.

I got on I-15 and trop and high tailed it back down to sahara and got off cause of traffic. You could tell who was going to the same place, like 3 or 4 cars driving wild on the 15 lol.

Got to the chapel, and the irony is that I work right by the CC Gov Center which is literally 2 or 3 minutes from the wedding chapel. If I had just stayed till the GPS hit I would have been stinkin close!

It's tough to take calculated risks...my wife was at Denver location 15 minutes before gps coords were out...and I almost drove off to another location but we were literally right by the park when cords went out. I got lucky...

...searched in Denver. I was walking around Downtown for an hour or so before the clue came out. I should have been in my car ready to go when the clue came out and I would have been at the phone first. Instead I had to walk a couple of blocks to the car once the 1st clue came out and figured it was Wash park. I got there with traffic in time to get a gift card and had fun searching. I think this was a good, fun contest.

I was there, also. I happened to be at Colorado Blvd & Exposition when the coords came out. I made it just in time to see the reps taking a picture with the "winner." I also got a gift card. Oh wells, I got my pre-order this morning at Best Buy... first one at my local store.

PS: F that stupid 17yr old kid for ruining the contest there. If he would have kept his jerk hands to himself, someone else would have found it and won fair & square. It's bad enough Verizon ran this contest poorly. I'd be really pissed if a 17yr old jerk ruined it in Orlando. Way to think you're too good to follow the rules...jerk.

Please speak of what you know! F shows your IQ. Stupid? He and his dad were there first, found it and claimed it. Smarter that 50 others! Jerk. Hmm. As I watched they never once complained or became "jerks" The even congratulated the winner and thanked Verizon. At 17 I can say he has more class than you

Try using the "quote" button next time...
