Hi. I get text messages sent to me with http:// ending in .mp3...basically what is happening is the htc streaming media player opens...plays the file then exits without allowing me to save it as a ring tone. Is this possible on the evo? For whatever reason I cannot get any app to open this link other then the damn htc streaming app that exits. Even when I checked off do not auto exit, the app gives me no option to set the mp3 as a ring tone. How the heck do I get any other app to open http links and allow me to save the mp3 as a ringtone? I would be happy if winamp could do it or the default music player. It seems the phone is not saving the file just playing and exiting. Anyone??? Thanks! :)

Hrmmmm...it seems to auto trigger music player as you stated and i don't know how to override this. If it is any consulation I use zedge ringtone app found in the market....and that ringtone is in their database

when trying to long press it (at least in the browser) it gives you the same options...play with which music player

it may work differently in text app so op, definitely try long pressing it
