Thank you. I have said the same thing but alas, few people seem to listen. The hardware supports it, market apps support it, its the stock software that doesn't.

Yep... and this baffles me.

Droid browser - No Multitouch
Milestone Browser - Multitouch
Dolphin - Free, superior, and multitouch works on droid.

Droid Gallery - no multitouch
Milestone Gallery - Multitouch
Multitouch Gallery - Free, Superior, and multitouch works on droid.

Droid Keyboard - No Multitouch
Milestone - No Multitouch.

Why is everyone so hung up on the Milestone firmware? For what its worth, you can use the browser from the Milestone dump on the droid and have the same multitouch with it. You probably can with the gallery too, but I don't know for sure. Neither has multitouch keyboard. Why so much hype over the friggin milestone? Is it just because so many people refuse to believe that the droid DOES support multitouch?

And this isn't even touching on the fact that the milestone ROM is based on 2.0... Not even 2.0.1. Let alone 2.1.
