offline map app

Hi,


I am looking for a good offline map app which should be capable of providing the following features:

- download map-areas for offline usage
(for the case that you are on a vacation and don't want to pay roaming fees)

- GPS-tracking (it should be able to show me where I am)

- search for streets (also in offline-mode)

- (not really necessary) search for restaurants, hospitals etc. (offline-mode)

- basic A to B navigation (not by car, not 3D bullshit, no voice-guidance; just route-navigation so that I see which street to take)

- (not really necessary) save favorite locations / markpoints

so basically I want an app that provides most of the features you know from google maps but offline

Have a look at Navigon and CoPilot

Not much money you'll pay for NavDroyd (not MapDroyd).

By the way, most apps with caches/preload maps ability for offline routing/navigation will need a data connection for searching locations/streets.
If you wouldn't need that street search as offline search then Maverick would be your app

I use CoPilot Live USA version 9 for all my offline travel. It will do all that you need plus much more. It even has monthly updates of the maps as well. Well worth the money. There are a lot of customizable settings. So make sure you play around with it before you need it.
