Picasa Sync with Gallery and Kit Kat

All,

So i just unpacked my shinny new Moto X and upgraded to Kit Kat and i have noticed that picasa sync is no longer an option in the settings under my google account. None of my picasa web albums are appearing in gallery and the only way i seem to be able to access them is through the annoying and less useful photos app, has anyone found a way around this that doesn't involve sideloading an older version of gallery? its a sneaky retiring of a feature if it was intentional on google's part.

did you ever get an answer anywhere else? I just got a Moto X and I'm frustrated with the same problem. I will continue to search I guess.

Idk. Have you tried a 3rd party gallery app.
Im on an old phone but i got the new google Photos app with the kitkat rom im using but i also have the old stock gallery app there which i prefer. The Photos app seems to just be part of g+ and im guessing theyre gona get rid of picassa since pics get syncd to g+ now
