Play Store Downloading really sloooooooowly

Hi anyone else having this problem with Play Storenreally slow on downloading and in the end I have to stop the download!!!
Same problem on my Sgt 10.1 and my SGS3

Well you're download does sound severe. Mine is just slow in general for example, my WiFi speed is 7mbit (~800kbps) but when downloading of the play store speeds are about .5 mbit (~50 kbps). 3G is even slower but I rarely download of 3g so I can't put up any tests

It's faster than the naked eye can really see on my 10mps wifi.
Nothing wrong with the Play Store in the last hour or so.

Well my download speed is about 12Mb and I just downloaded angry birds from Samsung market in about 10 secs flat but anything off the Google Play market is taking ages, for example Ive been downloading a screen brightness widget for over half an hour and its still not hereand thats on two seperate devices, my phone and my tablet! !!

Any ideas appreciated, Im in Uk if its a different market to US.

Well I dont know whats going on but both my phone and my tablet wont download anything or update anything! It just says downloading and has been like that for 2 hours so have stopped it and cleared the cache of google play and data and done the same for download manager but result is still the same stuck on downloading whatever i do?
This is driving me crazy now?

Google Play (market) does have regional outages and slow periods during maintenance. It's one of the reasons why one person seems to have a problem while others don't with the same phone or carrier. If you can wait a few hours, it usually clears up.

I had painful slow download 11-12th was on super fast cable and it crawled to download 250-400 megs; extra data for large games.

Well it turns out you were right. I went out of the house and tried it over 3g and it worked so I assumed it was a problem with my wifi or broadband provider but when I got home an hour later it worked over wifi just as it had before with no problems .
Would be great if they could have a message on the store when there's a local problem !!!
