Root PLEASE HELP! Factory Reset won't work, on white screen that says htc incredible

droid incredible: so i just rooted my phone, backed it up and everything, and just installed the gingerbread rom. i decided i wanted to go back to 2.2, but stupid me, factory reset it. Im now stuck on the white screen that says htc incredible for a long time.the only way to get out of it is to take the battery out. i tried using hboot and do reboot but same thing happens. does anyone have a solution? please help.

Can you get into backup/recovery? Just restore a nandroid or flash a ROM. If you don't have either on your SD card, you will need to remove the card and copy a ROM onto it so you can flash it. I'd suggest Virtuous if you want near-stock 2.2.

Or you can just go into recovery -> mounts -> Mount USB Storage, connect to computer and it will mount your SD card as it normally does. No need to take your SD card out.
