Root Porting PAC to Avant with CM11

Hey guys im having a little trouble figuring out how to port the build.prop and updater script from one a pacrom to a cm11 rom. Im using pac rom's S3 Kit Kat nightly, porting it over to cm11 from j03lpr86. Here's a folder on google drive with what ive attempted

look at it in list view to see the full names of the files

EDIT: If I were to left the entire updater-script from the cm11 zip we have along with the other folders that need to be replaced, would it be okay?

I know that with the updater script you could literally copy it from the cm11 zip and put it in the zip for the new ROM, as for the build.prop tweaks I have no idea.

If you copy the updater script from cm11 it installs files and ends up giving you cm11 does it not? I'm also having trouble porting. I got Paranoid Android to boot but system UI kept crashing.

Both of the scripts seem completely different tho :/ I'm not sure where the place what scripts in the base rom

So you lost track of which one is which?

No I know the difference(theres unique sections in the scripts like it saying pacrom)- its just that I don't know what to move over. It looks like they have two almost different layouts

Did you copy paste the "set_metadata" lines from PAC over to the CM updater script? That's what I've been doing with PA and I finally got it to boot, albeit with problems. Or was that the original question? Also, what did you mean by two different layouts?

i left the formatting commands alone because i noticed they included different path files to their partitions

actually, i think i was a little sleepy last night so i looked again and its the same
symlink commands then metadata commands

i copied the symlinks and metadatas over to the base. Is that correct or should there be some specifics that should be changed (in general for any rom)?

Ohh okay lol and I only copy pasted metadata, not sure if it matters if you do symlinks. As you've heard me say on the cm thread, I'm a complete noob, so take what I tell you with a grain of salt, but when I got PA to boot, I left the symlinks alone. johnnyl1111 linked me here:

And I followed that and after much fiddling around got PA to boot

oh and did you edit the build.prop at all? it might be a little different for me since i'm porting pac-rom; multiple roms in one :/

And yeah I edited the build prop, did you try what that guide says to change in it specifically for PAC?

did you copy the priv-app folder over to the base too? (if you had one)

Alright, what did that give you? and yes copied priv-app folder as well, also had to copy libandroid_runtime.so
libandroid_servers.so and
libmedia_jni.so for it to work.

Soooooo when I started to flash it, it said unable to open binary script

No, when I tried porting the entire rom it always either installed and never finished booting, or it gave me the system UI crashing problem. The newest thing I tried was what johnyl1111 suggested about making it baseless. With that I've had updater script problems as well, but I get a simpler "error installing PA" it never said that it couldn't open the script.

If y'all would just be patient until cm is fully functional. I have PAC kk PAC lp and Carbon on my machine.

Dfuse got a point pretty sure he has the sources sync up ready for compiling
