That's insane... After using my phone constantly all day or texting none stop my phone never goes above 92 degrees F. That seems a little too hot.

Maybe, I would definitely call Tech Support.

I would be concerned if it's too hot to hold. Lol. That is a bit alarming.

110+ is a little "warm" , dont flip out when I mention it, but my experience with my old blackberry Tour was an Idol temp of 78, moderate use temp of 88-93, and heavy use up to 105. I know its the blasphemy phone, but just to get some more example of temps in this thread

I had 120F yesterday. I had it plugged into the car dock, using Maps and it was hot out so the sun was coming through the windshield and heating everything up.

Ive had 110+ however it was 103 outside, and the phone was sitting in direct sunlight running pandora.

Please don't leave your Xs out in direct sunlight please! That can hurt the battery.

I thought i saw people on the incredible forums with temps in the 130's. Maybe im thinking of something else but if you battery stays 110+ then something is wrong. Mine is usually in the 90's but it has gotten over 100 when using it outside

Mine has got 10 almost 100 since I installed the battery minder app. Seems to be while running Paralllel Kingdom. Suspect the game is a resource HOG and devours the battery alive.

Last night the bottom of the phone was getting really hot but not 100*f. If it was the battery it was just the base part of the battery where it connects to the phone.

My battery has gotten HOTTER than 110 degrees... but then again it is 112 degrees right now in Phoenix so I am not surprised!

If your battery life sucks, will Verizon give you a new one for free?

    Was this while charging?

Seems charging plus activity (action game or GPS Nav), routinely gets above 100 degrees.

I rhino the hottest my DX has gotten was 113. My incredible has hit 120+ a few times. I don't think the DX is as noticable when it heats up as the incredible. Meaning its housing must transfer heat better. Not important, just my .2

Yes! After the first 3 days I was disappointed in the battery life. I called VZ and they sent a new battery, which I used for the first time today. Of course you must send your old battery back or you will be charged.

My phone too heats up a lot....although its not the battery that is getting hot, but the cpu. I installed battery minder just now and it said my temp is 101 and i've barely used the phone. I felt the battery and its cool. But the base of my phone is very hot.

I'm not joking, but 1 time in May I was running maps and it was blazing hot out and theres no ac in my work truck...it hit 155! I turned it off, before it did any damage. kinda scary.
