I have to concur with Mikedt. Buy local, from a source where your money and your consumer rights are protected. The Chinese market is saturated with copycat companies that operate almost sweatshop factories producing products that, on the surface, appear to be the same as more expensive and competing products. However, the quailty and source of the components and assembly can be, literally, garbage; with no potential to upgrade the firmware even if it works more than six months. Hence the advice to buy from a source where your purchase is protected.
I live in China and bought an Onda - one of the upcoming Chinese brands. It crapped out, and the replacement was DOA - so far 5 weeks and counting; probably at least another two weeks before they supply another replacement - and that's with an official receipt from an official reseller dealing direct with the factory! You get what you pay for and, in China, often less.
