I have a 1TB capacity Western Digital extrrnal USB hard drive. I have always had to wait a couple of hours for my high end laptop to "populate" the directory/file tree before I could see anything on the drive. Now I have only my android pad and I cannot successfully complete populating the tree, even after 12 hours of the external drive being active with light blinking. My two file managers never get to "seeing" the drive as being resident but when I disconnect, I get a popup saying USB Storage disconnected. I am quite sure the drive is OK and it is 3/4 full.
