Root Ruby 1.1.1 is out!

for those of you who were like me and liked this rom but non-working BT media audio killed it for you... check out the thread for this release over on xda... I put up some directions on getting it to work.

with the fix in place, now this rom is really rocking... .

I've previously been using CyanogenMod on my dinc but just recently I switched over to using ruby 1.1.1. I've noticed that on ruby, there are no phone or contact preferences. Anyone else notice this? Is that a cyanogenmod thing only? Is there any way for me to port the phone/contacts from cyanogenmod over to ruby?

They are there on Shadow. Pretty sure this is an add on that I remember developers throwin on ROMS for the moto droid when I had it. Cannot remember who put it together but it is an add on and I believe Cyanogen has this in his ROMS. Not sure if Ruby is supposed to have it or not.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I loaded the Shadow ROM and it had the phone/contacts preferences as well, but I figured that was because the Shadow ROM is a branch off of cyanogen, at least I think it is.

I wonder if it's possible to integrate this add on into Ruby, any thoughts on that?

Just tested it on Slacker, MLB At Bat and Music player... NO GO, guess I'm going to have to dump this ROM . I can't go with out BT Audio Stream

Yes there is a work around I think - look at the xda forums or search for it. Someone came up with some files to replace and a few permission changes to fix.

Thanks- I saw the thread but the workaround is a little too complicated for me. I guess Ill wait for the next release.

You can change the camcorder to 720p. It's under settings, choose "custom"

every single selection is greyed out except WVGA.

keep in mind we were talking about CM6 at that point in the thread, not Ruby 1.1.1. I havn't tried ruby yet.

I don't know how many times this has been said, but if you use a kernel made for a Sense/Senseless ROM (SkyRaider, Virtuous, JagerROM, FrankenRom) on an AOSP ROM (CyanogenMod, Ruby, IncDoes) the touch screen will not work. It is otherwise functional, but no touch screen. Don't even bother, it's inherent.

Does this also apply if someone tries to use a AOSP kernel on a Sense/Senseless ROM?

as far as screen shots its an aosp rom so looks wise its comes vanilla when loaded. if you've seen cm6 it doesnt look much different than ruby. when i use it i run sapphire themes over it because theyre compatible and theres more development on them than ruby ones.
