Hi Everybody!

I am new to this website, very new, and a HTC Sensation owner from the UK. I recently ran into trouble with my HTC so came running to the experts who might know what has gone wrong. I was using my HTC this morning when it suddenly switched off. This was due to the battery dying out. As i charged my HTC and turned it on i was approached with a white screen with the following text:

<VOL UP> to previous item
<VOL DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item

FASTBOOT

IMAGE CRC

With 3 androids on skateboards at the bottom.

I am normally starting up my phone as i would and am always approached with this screen. My HTC is NOT rooted nor is there any custom software of any sort or anything. Basically it hasn't been played around with. First time i have run into this situation and am left clueless!!

try GOAPK -you know alittle google search can go a long ways.--

ouch this might be a samsung issue too.... you might want to take the device to where-ever you got it and let them reflash the thing.

sorry, really new to all this. I've googled GOAPK and all i find is some website in chinese. Phone is completely frozen to this screen, cant get out of it or get rid of it.

frozen.. hmm try taking the sd card out boot the phone and master reset the phone back to factory defaults.. it's worth a try.

That's the bootloader.

Can you move up and down the list of options using the volume keys? If you can, you can use the power key to select one.

If you can't it may mean that the volume key is stuck (became booting while pressing volume down is how you get into this screen).

If you can move the cursor, select "FASTBOOT". That will take you into a similar-looking screen which will have "REBOOT" as one of your options. See if that works.

OP welcome to AF and welcome to Android. Hadron has gave you some great tips.

I would like to move this thread to a different forum for the actual device. In which you may get even more feedback. Which Sensation do you have? Sensation , Sensation XL, or Sensation XE?

It is just the Sensation.

If i take the Memory Card out i cannot use the power button to select any option but can still navigate menu's via the volume button. When the memory card is in, it will automatically select the 'fast boot' section where i am greeted with a message ' Battery Voltage is too low' 'Please Change A Battery'.

What can i do? I don't press anything to go into this mode however it may be possible that something would be jammed.

i had that the other day, i just chose recovery..it lead me to a black screen with a red '!' so i held down power and volume down and chose recover again, works fine now! although i have no idea how it happened...

Alright now i reckon the volume button is jammed as i can access my phone if i hold down Volume Up and Power button however this takes me onto safe mode, which limits 3rd party apps and the internet is rubbish. Whenever i turn it on normally it will go to the HBOOT menu and automatically load up FASTBOOT, then it would just return to the HBOOT menu where i can scroll the menu via the volume up button only but the POWER button doesn't select any option!

Pop the cover off and try. You'll see if it's just the rocker, or the actual switches.
