Sealed battery question?

If Pixel phones have a sealed battery and it freezes how do you shut it down without being able to remove the battery? All smartphones start freezing after about 2 years and I don't want to have to buy a new phone if it freezes and I am not able to shut it down. I currently have an older model samsung galaxy that freezes and when it does holding the power button down does not work and I have to remove the battery and pop it back in order to shut it down and restart it.

Holding the power button for up to 10-15 seconds should do the trick.

Any phone with a sealed battery, holding down on the power should force it to go off. Just like holding the power button on a crashed PC does, when ctrl, alt, delete doesn't work.

Even if the battery is removable, you don't need to remove it to force it to restart.
