Is there an app I can use to switch on/off 2 tasks with 1 tap?

I want to switch on/off Bluetooth and music, when I get in/out the car, and I've tried Tasker but can't seem to get my head round it.

Is there an alternative to tasker that's as basic as my brain?

Locale, Llama, and AutomateIt are all popular Tasker alternatives which may be easier (or at least have a more intuitive UI).

The profile that you're asking for shouldn't be that hard though. Where are you getting hung up?

I thought I'd got it with Tasker, but when I put the icon shortcut on the screen and press it, nothing happens

If your music player has a 'resume on bluetooth connection' then set this and just put an on/off toggle for BT on your homescreen. I assume it connects to your car stereo automatically?

Tasker does have a bit of a learning curve. I found some YouTube videos that helped a great deal. I suggest starting there. Stick with it, Tasker will do what you want, I have shortcuts on my home screen for similar tasks. It's amazing what you can do with Tasker.

Well I tried Dave suggestion an that's worked fine, as my music play did have a "resume when Bluetooth connects" setting.
Now I'm going to see how leaving Bluetooth on, but not connected, affects the battery. If its ok then all I have to do is switch on the Bluetooth receiver and music begins.

Tasker does look good but I don't like a lot of automation so learning it seemed hard work just for that one task.
