Well I am new to this forum, am a D1 since it launched and I am wanting to know if anyone can tell me how to turn on the wifi hotspot on the unrooted 2.2 FRG22D build!?

Go to your local Verizon store and have them change your account to allow tethering, I believe that is your only option.

For more information- unrooted, stock 2.2 FroYo includes wired tethering - but you have to be a tethering subscriber to VZW's plan. There is no bypass.

Wireless tethering is not included with the stock ROM, but can be had courtesy of applications from the market. Be warned, though, that VZW may impose restrictions on your service if they somehow find out that you are using wireless tethering without subscribing to their service.
