Root Tools For a rooted Galaxy Tab 2

I thought rooting was difficult.
Trying to get the apps needed to install a new rom is driving me nuts.
I don't even know where to start.

You don't really need an app to install ROMs, that's what the recovery is for. Go to the first link I provided and search for a thread that talks about recovery. I personally prefer CWM, but a lot of people like TWRP. I've tried it, but went back to CWM. There is an app called flashify that will flash your recovery for you and that makes it really easy.

Let me get this strait.
A recovery is flashing a new rom?
A installed Flashify but it found no recoveries on my device.

You have to download the recovery and then flash it. If I were you, I'd do a whole lot of reading before you go any further. Read about custom recoveries, ROMs, and so on. Go to the first link I gave you and read, read, read. When you think you might know what you are doing, stop and read some more.
