ttrackball trouble

hello i was wondering if theres a way to disable the trackball on my eris or maybe change the sensitivity....something keeps making it go to the left on its own

iv'e had the same exact problem. I took it into verizon and the tech he had seen nothing like it before, mine would highlight my handcent sms app and then just jump all the way left to the final homescreen. Every time I would move the track ball right it would just continue to jump left. What I did to be honest, is just press down really hard pretty much breaking it since I am getting a replacement in the mail already and it seems to be working now except it wont go left when I move the ball left, it only goes right.

Mine has been doing this as well- scrolling to the left on home screens, jumping through text, etc. But it seems to be an intermittent problem...probably why I have yet to do anything about it. And I have yet to figure out what makes it go away, let alone triggers it.
