Help Unable to factory reset

I want to wipe my phone clean and am trying to do the factory reset. My phone is rooted.

When I try to do it through the menu, the phone just stays frozen on the Google page.

When I try to do the hard reset, no menu appears when I click the volume down and power button. Please help me!!!! Thanks!!

If I were you I would do it from recovery. Are you holding volume up and power when the phone is turned off, and keep holding it until it turns on? Also if your phone is rooted do you have a custom rom? Because with cm7 I can boot into recovery when I pull up the menu to turn the phone off.

If that doesn't work I really have no idea why it isn't letting you do a factory reset.
