please let me know the good and the bad about the new june, 2016 security patches that are waiting for down load.

Do you mean the July Security patch? It sounds important as it has fixes for 7 critical issues, 18 high severity issues, and 7 moderate issues. My understanding is that every major Android package in Marshmallow are being patched, so it is an important update and hopefully will fix things, though with so much being changed it is possible they will have accidentally "broken" something.

There essentially are no bad. They are just security fixes.

Do be aware the July one is the latest. Make sure to check again for updates after you install the june patch

THANKS the may updates screwed up my phone. i'll dump the cache first. is there any real difference between
dumping the cash thru the setting menue or going into the restart menues?

If you're having issues after the update try a factory reset. AFAIK thats still the only way to fully clear all the cache partitions on a non-rooted device
