Not so fast on the newer and shinier as far as the Snap 800. Though Samsung mentioned it was built with a new process and would be better on battery, the chipset uses the same 28nm process as the 600. Not seeing how the same 28nm process with a much faster gpu and faster cores will get that or run cooler. Seems it will run hotter.
I think I fell for the marketing BS they pushed out. Perhaps the LTE is a newer process. Seems this is all not adding up.
If there's no difference with the phone besides memory, why spend $50+ for 16GB extra?
Um ...so someone can have extra memory for additional applications perhaps?
I was under the impression that there is an update coming that allows us to do something similar with a $15 sdcard. I know it's not exactly the same, but a hundred bucks for 16GB of flash memory?!?!
The update is supposedly going to allow you to install applications on an SD card, but not the data that comes with the application (which is the real issue for gamers). Also, GOOGLE PLAY still won't let you store music or movies on an SD card.
Granted, most of us have tablets for watching movies and a many of us have no interest in games. IN that case, I think 16 GB of Ram (with a flash card for photos and most music) should work fine.
$100 for 16 GB of RAM is a ridiculously poor value though. VZW stores didn't even stock the 32 GB S3 for that reason.
Whoa, so you're saying that even after this update, 3 gigabytes of GPS map data is still going to be required to reside on the phone?
forgive me for being behind on the latest news.... but any idea when the update is coming? I am not a gamer. I have moved all my pics/music/etc. to my 32 GB card.. but for some reason I too am almost out of on board memory on my Verizon 16GB. I was trying to figure out how to upgrade to the 32 GB without shelling out another $699 bucks and trying to sell my current phone. (i bought off contract)
But if there is a solution coming...
Suggestions?
