Where in my settings do I turn off anyOTA updates - or is this not an option? Thanks
Not an option. You have to be rooted and rename the update APK or be running a ROM that already has it done.
That's no good. I wonder why they don't let you turn that off. Every HTC phone I've owned has a box you check in settings to prevent it from looking for updates
YEAH, what he said!! Coming from another former EVO 4G guy..!
Hey Rxpert, are you now an GS3 owner? If so, are you rooted yet?
EDIT: Just read your signature details! Unless you haven't changed it yet, I bet you are still an EVO LTEguy!
No sir. I upgraded to the evo 4g lte along with ocn, granite1, and arg
I wanted to but after 16 years with SPLINT I decided to jump over to VZ because I am still mad at them for NEVER achieving 4G network wide and I'm afraid they could do the same thing with LTE...maybe not but for me, I will not give them another chance - until they have it up and operational! :smokingsomb:
If you are rooted (if not understand the consequences before doing so), get Titanium Backup and then "freeze" the app SDM 1.0. Problem solved.
