Help Vibrate on Silent?

OK 2nd question of the day.
Will the Europa vibrate on silent? selecting silent seems to cancel vibrate. This seems to be rather stupid.

Do you have the option to set when the phone vibrates in Settings >> Sound?

I don't know what flavour of android your phone is running, but usually you can set it in there. (Although usually it comes set to vibrate only when on silent, so it's a bit strange that yours is the other way round).

Yep as you say if I tick both silent and vibrate in settings it works, but as soon as I change it in the drop down it cancels out again. I would have assumed that if I set it to vibrate on silent in settings it would default to my settings. Sort of like every phone since the dawn of time.
