I think the black plastic case from sprint is great, doesn't slip out of your hand, fits perfect, and its 20 bucks, my wife went and got the bodyglove one from sprint. I really don't like it, it looks nice but its slick and I would drop the phone, plus the edges seems a little sharp on it.

LOL...You're not in that boat alone. I bought one from ebay. I like the case, but same situation...blocks the notification/charging LED.

Get a small bit and drill a hole in it.
