When you power of the desire

Hi

Forgot to take my charger away with me on a trip. So thought I would just turn the power on once a day to check for messages and mail then turn the power off again. This way I would get 8-9 days out of it as I have done with many other cell phones. I got 2 days from a fully charged battery powering the phone on and off three times for about 10 mins at a time. That cant be right????

its a mini pc, stop thinking of it as a phone and it makes sence, its booting up and using a lot of processing power and ram to turn on from scratch each time you boot it.

Have to check - Did you actually turn the phone off or just put it to sleep? That battery life sounds reminiscent of the latter.

I'd have just turned on ~"airplane" mode, and left it to so to sleep of its own accord.

Yeah.. Powering up and using it for 10 minutes doesn't usually use a third of my battery.
