Help Wireless Access Point

I have set my Samsung Galaxy S as an Witeless Access Point

Settings -> Wireless and network -> Mobile AP Settings.

I can connect to my phone from my notebook but the conenction says "No Internet Access"

If I use

Settings -> Wireless and network ->Mobile networks - > Access Point Names, I can see two entries
Optus Internet which is active and
Optus MMS which is not active

I can access the Internet (i.e. Google) from my phone ok

Is this a service that is blocked by my carrier (Optus) or
is there some other setting I need to activate?

Am I stuck with this or is there a way to get this to work?

Is your phone a GT-I9000 international version or a carrier specific Galaxy ?
