Help Mail count won't change

I had to do a battery pull, and now my Mail counter is stuck at 2. How do I get it to clear? I have read all the messages. Thanks.

Did you try sending yourself an email so that when it arrives it resets your counter?

I've had that happen to me before, small glitch and slight pain the *ss, but solveable...just delete the program by holding it down and swiping it to the bottom where it says remove & simply add the program in again...should solve the problem....

Thanks! Actually, I just deleted the icon off my home screen and re-added it.
