Help Bluetooth Problems?

I have noticed with my new Droid that I have Bluetooth drop-outs with my car (Acura TL 2004) and my Jawbone 2. The call can drop for a minute or two to the handset, and then go back to the HFL device again without any warning. In addition, the voice quality over the HFL seems lacking - Very metallic and many times unintelligible. Also, I can't seem to get dial-over-Bluetooth-command to work with my Jawbone 2. Is there a setting for this on the Droid? (My Acura doesn't support this functionality) AzJazz

I too am having an issue w/ my jawbone 2 headset. It is very metallic and tinny and even cutting in and out like you said. From what I have read the dialing over bt doesn't work at all at this point. but the jawbone issue is something that is concerning for me. I have done a repairing and a factory reset. Still no luck.. I am getting a Jawbone prime tomorrow, and if that doesn't fix it, I am thinking of switching for another droid.. I love this phone, but this issue w/ the bt sound quality is a deal breaker for me. It seems as this is something to do w/ the noise cancelling as when I turn off the noise cancelling during the call it seems to be better, but I shouldn't have to do it per call and better yet, it should be working right out of the box.

Hi, tipopilota - I don't think the Bluetooth sound quality is a Jawbone problem - I am becoming more sure that it is a Bluetooth problem on the Droid. I have 2 totally different Bluetooth HFL devices (my Jawbone 2 and my Acura TL), and the audio is ridiculously bad on both - enough to be effectively unusable. I have to ask the people I call to constantly repeat themselves. I'm hoping that this is fixable in a Droid firmware upgrade. I don't know what I will do if this is a hardware problem. How do I let Motorola / Verizon know about this? Let me know what you find out with the Jawbone Prime.

Yeah I find it interesting more and more people are not having issues w/ their Bluetooth if it truly is a hardware issue. I will definitely be posting as soon as I test out the prime tomorrow. If that does not fix it, i will be switching out the droid and testing it right there in the store. If it still is an issue, well then unfortunately the droid will have to go back because w/o the Bluetooth working properly, the phone is useless to me.

Well I have received my Prime headset today and yes it does appear to be better. I have also tested it w/ a Plantronics Discovery 975 headset I had laying around at my work and that too worked a lot better. I find it very odd that the Jawbone 2 didn't work that well, but the new Prime works a lot better. Very odd, but glad that it works now..

Motorola Droid won't pair with my 2008 BMW 528i over Bluetooth. Very frustrated with this issue

considering returning the phone.

Old Razr and Q pair up immediately and sync up all contacts.. Is anyone at Google or Motorola aware of this issue and working on fixing it ?

I had the same problem with my Benz. I could get it to pair and connect, but the address book wouldn't download. If that's the problem you're having, go to the bluetooth "pairing" page and pull a screen down from the top of the screen (like the Verizon Notifications screen). This screen/dialog will ask you for permission to download the address book. That solves the problem.

Good luck!
