HOT DAMN this phone looks awesome! As I figured before, the slowness factor in those previous videos would not be a factor. This baby looks amazing! I cannot wait for this baby to hit the USA!

Yea I couldn't stand those mofos who were complaining before. Don't they understand the concept of a prototype device? The thing still has ages til release to improve further. I was worried it would be a bit laggy though because it is pretty complex looking, but seems to be almost perfect
Do we know if what we saw in the video was running on Android 2.0 or 1.5? This phone will kick some serious ass when it hits if its on 2.0. When you tell someone that you're looking at a SE Android phone, they roll their eyes, because its not an HTC or Motorola- this thing is going to make some serious waves when it launches. I'll be one of them there to pick it up that day (in Sensous Black).

Yea I think it's 1.6.... And they say in the video they are planning to release an update to 2.0.
When i had my old HTC Diamond a couple of weeks ago people thought it must be some cheap asian rip off brand or something cause so few people have heard of it :S
I'd prefer a SE since everyone has heard of it, i mean when we're talking about which brand gets more respect. But ultimately I'll get the best phone.

I second that. I'm rocking the Droid right now because of the situation I was in with my BlackBerry Storm. I definatley plan on jumping to the Sony when it hits though- it looks like it is going to be the BEST on the market for awhile. It will catch other manufacturers by surprise, no doubt.
I must have missed in the video where they said it would have an update to 2.0. I'll have to re-watch it when I get out home (been stuck in a traffic jam for over an hour).
At least I'm relieved to see that their "timeshift" is just an app, not the whole interface modified.
But as far as I understood, the features of this app are already included in Android 2.0 more or less (showing activities of contacts in facebook etc.) Can anybody confirm that?
ive been playing with this phone at work
at the moment its running 1.6 but it is said to skip 2.0 and launch with 2.1
its quite slow in places but it is a pre production model
thing that was a let down is sony's media bits. again still no decent equaliser on android. the music player itself is good but a bit fiddly as theyve used a small font for track/album/playlist names
i didnt have enough time to test the various video formats as the person who was doing the testing for release took it back as he knows id be leaking info on it here
all in all a nice package but they have a lot of work to do. it didnt feel that fast against my Galaxy considering its power is double lol
its was quite buggy and because the previews are built on 1.6 instead of 2.1 i guess they havent ironed out the problems and made it too efficient as they have no intention of keeping it on the 1.6 platform
