So, i have a rooted Inc, and started to play around with ROM Manager, got a little hasty and downloaded and installed (i think ??) the Froyo Cyanogen ROM from the manager, the phone did the whole boot/backup/installing screen (similar screen i had while rooting the phone).

well, it appears to have messed something up, not only do i still have 2.1 (really not that concerned about 2.2 for now, so lets concentrate on the next part) but my phone is taking at least 30 seconds longer than it used to to boot up. the phone works rather flawlessly in all other respects, but i'm a little bothered by this so i'd like some input before doing ANYTHING else to my precious piece of hardware.

i DO have the full backup i made when i rooted, and another that i had made immediately before (using ROM manager) attempting my little escapade.

I wouldn't worry much about it since you covered your bases with the nand backup. Play around with it for awhile and if you want to go back to home base, simply restore via Rom Manager (Manage & Restore Backups > choose date of previous setup > restore) or enter recovery and Nandroid restore and choose the backup you desire there. No worries, that's why you backup like you wisely did. You can go back anytime.

If you had everything set up just like you wanted it, use the one you made right before flashing CM6.
