Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

I have to ask, is this worth the effort knowing the second froyo leak for us is very stable, and the real update will be out anytime now. (Droid1 is getting it now)

It depends, signal quality has been better. Linpack and quadrant are slightly better (pretty close honestly) but the feel of the rom is very smooth and fluid. Personally, I prefer it.

The only problem I've had is one I've had with every rom to date, a random fc with Android.process.acore

yes, it is very smooth and it is fun to play around with it... just something to tinker with

Note:

For anyone who has tried the battery percentage indicator replacement from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=743880

The zip in that link does not work for EVO based ROMs. I was hoping since this is a hybrid that it would work, but it does not. It installs fine, but the indicator shows up as a hearing aid instead of a battery.
Love this ROM, so I guess I will just live w/o the % indicator.

I havent but I'm not sure it's a good idea considering it's using ported framework from the EVO. You could always n-droid and try it, though

It can't really hurt anything as it simply removes any sense stuff. just have to make sure that you still have a launcher and messaging app. I'll possibly tweak the script and give it a shot later today. got some real work to do. If i do it i'll report back with my findings for those that are curious.

been running the frankenrom all morning with only one glitch. i had an unexplained reboot and when the phone came back up my exchange pin was different and couldn't login. So after 10 failed attempts it rebooted and wiped, when it came back up I restored my apps and setup my accounts with one wonderful difference.... My Exchange account nolonger requires a PIN????

Since then your ROM has been very stable and super fast!!!

Thank you for your hard work! :D

Quick bug I noticed in the latest release:

Not sure if this has been covered, but it seems to be a bug with the CM6 messaging app. When I'm in a contact, and select "send message", it brings me to the messaging app with the "To" field empty. Normally, it should populate that field with the contact I just selected "send message" in.

Anyone else notice this?

Okay i just loaded this rom and am very excited after reading all the positive posts. Titanium went smoothly and the rom is very similiar to the 8/1 leak (at least it feels similiar). I like the hulu very much :) and like the new messaging app.

Thank you adrynalyne!! I am a big fan of your work.

I will keep posting anything else i find

EDIT: after exiting the hulu app with the back button, the audio feed kept playing. When i went back into the app the video was not continuing just the audio. I had to go to running applications and force close hulu just to turn off the sound.

Yeah its a known bug with the app. The alternative is to watch it via the browser which does not have the problem.

Not so much a bug as an inability to interface properly with the htc messaging app. I am happy to say that the htc messaging patch in the 2nd wave thread works, and will do what you want in this regard.
