What's your power settings on the Droid X?

I keep everything off but gps and keep it on performance mode and get great battery life. No atk or anything like that. I often get almost 2 days of life off of a single charge. Make sure your phone can sleep. Programs like meebo will not let the phone sleep and will drain your battery even while not in use.
2 days! geez how often do you use it?

Wanna trade batteries? ;)

I turned off haptic feedback, and those sound things

With lowest brightness, sync on, and email fetch every 30 minutes I got 10-12 hours of moderate to heavy usage.

With lowest brightness, sync off and manually updating my email, I get at least 13-16 hours of use. The biggest battery improvement for me was turning off that sync located in the built in power widget

I was at 90% after 12 hours, without any calls.

Two short calls and deleted a few email, and 3 hours later, I'm at 80%.

Battery saver battery profile
Screen brightness at 5% unless I'm traveling (wearing sunglasses)
Wifi on at home, everything else off (emails still sync tho)
Beautiful Live weather wallpaper with cpu hog turned off.

I use root programs to underclock under certain conditions to save power and keep the phone from overheating. I also use a widget that has a setting to kill data but keep the phone alive. I'll use that to save power and elongate my battery life. I live the fact that this phone is highly configurable!

"Unplugged for 36 hours"... now at 60% (after updating apps, installing a few, no calls)

Update: forgot to mention, it rained on/off most of the afternoon so my Beautiful Live Weather might have prematurely decreased my battery.

Cell standby: 45%
Display: 37%
Phone idle: 15%
Voice calls: 4%
Wi-Fi: 2%

The first phone had dismal battery life. The replacement, using the same battery,is a lot better.
I keep wifi on all the time, screen is medium bright, and I just it throughout the day for surfing the web and calls. I get at least 50% life after 12 hours. I did remove all social media apps and anything receiving constant updates. I think that's what was killing the first phone.

I use my CONSTANTLY. I am never off of it, and my battery life can sometimes last longer than 20 hours.

- I usually have mine in battery saver mode, so I am at all the lowest settings.
- I still have a live wallpaper, just grass though.
- My widgets (and I have a ton) all automatically sync... Facebook, news, etc.
- I'm not a big talker on the phone, but I do text a lot.
- I don't play a lot of games, I'm a web surfer.

:)

"unplugged for 59 hours (2d 12h 8m 41s)... 40%

Cell standby: 51%
Display 29%
Phone idle: 17%
Wi-fi: 3%
Voice calls: 3%

No calls, just updated some apps and delete emails that accumulated during the day.

Guess we'll see what's it's like in the morning, but going to try for 3-1/2 days.:D

Fancy Pocket Watch you got there.

My battery life has almost doubled since I've been using ATK, yeah I know there is a lot of people who say you don't "need" it but my phone performs SO much better with it so the proof is in the pudding.

My settings, battery saver mode, I toggle my screen brightness when I need it I go to 100% but many times I have it on 10%, I've force stopped many of the social networking and news widgets, I leave wifi and gps off until I need them but leave bluetooth on all the time.

It varies from person to person. It depends on how you use your phone. I've seen people report worse battery life while using ATK.

Those apps will start back up again after you force close the processes.
