Root help with G.O.T recovery menu

I rooted my milestone yet with G.O.T recovery menu,
my first question is how this app2sd works? I read somewhere I shouldn't install busybox. (but I installed it)
in open recovery menu I have 5 options to choose:
" 1- split SDCard (will erase all your data on SDCard)
2-Install App2SD
3-Install Boothack Only
4-Install App2SD (symlink edition)
5-Install Boothack Only (symlink edition) "
which one I have to install, or I have to install all of them...

my next question is, as soon as I rooted my milestone successfully I took a nandroid backup from all my phone with the same open recovery menu, but now when I needed to restore my system, it restore only OS files & I don't have my own Launcher & apps to use, can anyone help what should I do?
I also have another old nandroid backup which I took it with my computer, which is (I think) making backup with old nandroid (backup from unrooted system)

Use Apps2SD IFF you know exactly what you are during && you really need the space.

If you take a Nandroid backup with the data flag then it should keep your launcher setup.
Do you know how this app2sd works? I mean how I can choose to install in sd (like in froyo)
I alreasy installed it, but I don't see any option to choose sdcard, it still install in the phone'e memory
