just installed fring and synced with my friends iphone 4 and it worked like a charm if we had the forward faceing camera it would have been way better but it has potential. Anyone else using this app on there X

Would use it if Skype still worked on it...but Skype blocked fring a few weeks ago. Fring is pissed.

That was the way to make international calls for free as well as making phone calls while abroad via wifi since it was legitimately over the internet as opposed to "Skype mobile" which is worthless to me.

I have fring installed but it's useless for me without the front facing camera. I had an iPhone 4, and fring worked great on it lol. Only other reason I had fring on the iphone was for Google Talk but that comes automatically with Android phones It's good if you need a messenger for AIM/Yahoo.

installed fring on both mine and my wife's DX, she works nights and thanks to fring she is able to not just call and say goodnight to our daughter but she can see her and vice versa so it makes her working nights that much more bearable.. thumbs up to fring.

Yea it works like a charm. I was wondering if you can use this program with the hdmi cable to pull up the app on the tv that way you could get the best of both worlds for not having the front facing camera. Has anyone tried this to see if it works?

Have you actually tried it extensively? I've heard Nimbuzz skype calls over wifi are buggy and drop calls/bad reception/etc...But maybe you've had better luck. Haven't tried it myself, but it's certainly something to try.

Yes. It works fine. I won't say it's pin-drop quality but it gets the job done for free. Really what it depends on is the speed of the wifi network. I have this app called "Speed Test" and I often use it to gauge how fast the network if quality seems like it's suffering. Almost every issue is due to latency.

hmmm, just tried it and can't even sign into Skype. Tells me "oops, the service is not fully working"...According to other comments on the market, looks like I'm not alone:

Skype doesn't work. All others works well though

no skype ... as always, but facebook wont work either.

Maybe I need to find an older version? I mean, I see the option to set skypeout as the default dialer so it does look like it's included in this version; it's just not working for me.

Skype blocked Fring. It is not a Fring issue. Skype sold their soul to VZW. No more wifi calls. VZW no likely that.
