I don't see where anyone has asked this before, so I guess I'm the first?
I find myself selecting items when all I want to do it scroll down the page. I find myself calling people when all I want to do is scroll down my contacts list, and while browsing on the internet, scrolling through a web page ends up with me selecting hyperlinks instead.
Drives me crazy!!
Is there a way to make it so you have to keep your finger on an item a little longer to actually select it?

The short answer would be No.
and im happy about that :)
its capacitive so (from what i remember) i responds to the electrons in your fingers. as soon as they are near the screen its going to respond.
although i`ve trained myself to 'hold'. that prevents me, alot of the time, from pressing things inadvertently.

Ok, I get that. But how does that relate to being able to scroll down a web page, or down the contacts list without inadvertently "selecting" a contact or hyperlink?
To be honest, I find myself using the trackball more and more as a safe means of scrolling up and down or across.

You kind of have to make sure your finger is moving AS it hits the screen. Like you are already swiping and you just happen to hit the screen. If you tap, then swipe, you might select instead of scroll.

Stupid post. Two totally different cars. Besides, judging by his screenname, I'd say he owns an 03/04 Cobra.

agreed.. pony car against an exotic? comparing apples to oranges... now if your comparing the Cobra to the Camaro...

but back on topic, I've done the same thing.. like others have said, 'holding' works and using the trackball really isn't that bad for me.
