Help Can't watch tv from sites like HULU, Help.

The Droid is supposed to be "a computer that can make phone calls" according to the sales guy. So I go to HULU.COM to watch a show and it says that flash player is not available, that it MAY be available in January.

I am TV show vs. computer stoopid so explain gently please...thanks!

It is still limited with the browser compared to the PC. There is no flash support, no shockwave, no silverlight... Those are a few common plugins on the PC. Just have to wait for the Flash to release in 2010, the others doubt will ever happen.

Just want to add that this isn't necessarily a limitation of the phone, but of the mobile platform in general. No matter what smartphone you get, you will run into the same problems as of right now.

**I say now because flash is supposedly coming as Howie said, and Silverlight is supposedly coming next year as well ... at least to WM7.

I saw a Adobe rep online state the first official platform to get flash support will be Android and if my memory serves me right they stated early 2010.

On a side note I find it odd they get video to work with youtube in a quality that is acceptable but things like Hulu and others don't work. Weird. I would guess there is a lot of propriety issues going on behind the scenes.

Just an FYI, even when Flash support arrives you probably won't be able to watch Hulu on your Droid. Hulu has been very diligent in blocking all non-PC devices from viewing their site, such as the PS3 and WinMo phones running Skyfire (which has Flash support).

winmo 6.5's IE has flash support, don't know if it's "full blown" though.

Give it some time and it will be on android!

Yeah, its 9.4 flash...videos on the web show n900 accessing www.tbs.com , and when everyone gets the 10.1 or 10.4 update, so will n900.

Its not that I really "want" the n900, but it has a lot of features "built-in" over the Droid that I'm looking for, plus I'm getting it as a gift. After having the Droid however, I'm wary that any onther phone will be as "responsive/quick" in just navigating the phone itself, not even counting web browsing.

Like I said, GSM Droid (looking for signal consistency) with TV Out, and Sling or Hava support, would suit me fine...would be "the perfect phone" for me. I may order the n900 next week, then pick up the GSM at end of the month. Still not sure if I want TMo or AT&T version. TMo has a much much cheaper plan...can't beat $39/mo for voice and data.

good think with things like android there will be a ez fix... tell hulu your on a PC.

Hulu and flash work just fine on my HTC mogul, i think i have the flash patch around here some where
