Is there any way that anyone has heard of to port items from the Epic to the Evo?

For instance, the incoming call screen on the Epic is friggin SWEET dude! Slide one way to answer, a different direction to decline and a third direction to send reply sms.

I realize Evo has sms reply, that's not what I am asking.
Also the calendar is pretty nice, all black skin.

A dump of the epic was put up on xda a while ago, pick and chose what you want to steal. Compatibility with sense might be interesting...but if you have a nandroid backup first, not much to lose.

thanks I'll check it out. I am running CM6 AOSP so no sense worries, I'll make a nandroid backup and then get crazy.

OK, I got curious myself. So I searched the file in case you haven't had time yet. I'll have to see what features I like and maybe poke around.

Edit-I dropped the swype.apk on and it FCs each time. I am working, so no troubleshooting time...I do miss it on this ROM.

There is a swype.apk that works with the evo, i am using it with fresh3.2 and it is great. If i rember correctly it comes stock with fresh 3.2

Swype does not come with fresh, and i dont rember where it came from, i just put it in google

I found it earlier and pulled the phone apps, calendar apps and swype app (because Epic stock swype app has voice key) off the dump. Unfortunately they will not load on the phone. I am running CM6, its deodexed so these odexed application versions will not operate. Sucks.

Swype beta is still running. two months ago you would have to have found someone with a private beta membership for swype (such as myself) to send you the apk. Now you can simply visit the website and sign up as the beta is open to all. Google "swype"

if you google swype.apk htc evo you will found download links, however apparently we can not post links regarding swype for legal reasons or so i have read

No,
Let me know If you do, but none of them are working for me, I required all the phone related apks, no luck.
