Somehow, I seem to have a worm virus in my hotmail email account. I have run a full system scan and changed my password etc.

However, I can no longer access my hotmail account on my HTC Desire via the Mail icon - I keep getting a "login failed" message. This is obviously due to my password change.

How can I change my password on the Desire so I can regain access to my email account?

Just go into mail > more > settings > Account Settings

Can change all your details in there :D

Oops! What a plonker! :D On the plus side, I only had to change my password for the incoming and outgoing part of the set-up - it saved all the other settings from before. :D

I'd really like to know how I managed to get this annoying virus though. My set-up is like fort knox when it comes to anti-virus and I don't open any strange emails or links.

I don't suppose anybody has any idea?

It was purely by chance that I saw a notification pop up from my email box telling me that a few emails could not be delivered. I thought it was strange, as I hadn't sent an email to some of the people it was telling me mail could not be delivered to.

I obviously investigated further and found out that two emails in my sent items which had been sent to every single one of my contacts containing some kind of spam link.

As I said, I have never clicked on such a link myself and am baffled as to how this worm got onto my system. I've run extensive virus scans and nothing has shown up - which is no surprise as far as these viruses are concerned - they can usually be solved by a change of the password.

For future reference, I can confirm that you can change your password by simply going to settings when you're in your e-mail folder. :D
