Help can someone explain how to tighten the slider?

My girlfriend just got the Samsung Gravity T from T-mobile, another slider from Samsung. That thing is TIGHT, zero play whatsoever. I've had the Epic since day 1 and I must say, after feeling the slider on her new phone I am actually really disappointed in the amount of play on the Epic. I agree with the post above that said the clip on case is putting undue stress between the halves; I noticed that instantly - but even without, it's definitely a loose slider by comparison to others. Mine has also started to develop a bit of a rattle; when open, I can actually detect the front-to-back rattle of the screen.

My slider was tight when I bought it, and remains tight even after the two piece clip on case was installed. The two haves never touch, so I don't see how they would loosen the slider mechanism. I did notice a looser slider on some of the other Epics I had, before getting this one, which is now number 4. So for those with loose sliders, I'd return them before your 30 day trial period ends.

It took 3 Epics to finally get a tighter slider. I've had this phone for two weeks now and it still feels tight. My phone is completely naked, no case except a pouch I bought for it--but I did notice the sprint clip on case indeed stressed the slider a bit--making it feel wobbly after a while.

I'm looking at my two piece clip on case right now, and the two halves do not touch, so how would it stress the slider?

I wish I had a "technical" way of telling you how--but I don't...... Because I indeed could be very wrong. It's what I observed with it with two phones!

All I know is that ever since I stopped using that case my phone feels way better. My boyfriend has the case on his phone and it wobbles like crazy. He rarely uses the keyboard too---sigh*

so i bought my phone at radioshack on the 10th of September if i take my phone back and tell them my slider is loose is anyone for sure they will replace it for that reason alone because in my experience with slider phones this problem usually leads to your screen going out i guess due to the loose connection of the two halves other than that love the phone wouldnt trade it for anything but an epic 2 you gotta love that screen its so bright it hurts my blood shot eyes at 3am on a saturday night...like that had to do with anything im gonna shutup now

I took my second one back to Sprint because of the wobble and they exchanged it with no problem. I still have wobble on this one, but not nearly as bad.

But would LOVE for someone to figure out how to tighten it.
