Root Can't Root for moto froyo 2.2 FRG22

Yes i recently had to flash my phone back to 2.1 which i did in a flash then i waited till it did a normal update to which i though would be FRG1B but to my surprise it was FRG22. Now i installed Easy Root and tried rooting it said it worked but it didn't so then i tryed Universalandriodroot and it didn't work either.. Now i tryed to flash back to 2.1 and then just root from there but this is were my problem happens. When i try to Flash i do the normal plug up usb and restart phone and while waiting on it to boot hold up on the D Pad and Nothing happens i did this 15 times it will not go into the menu at all ......

But i can't get it to work at all
1. i installed the SDK into C drive
2. i run CMD
3. it says there is no such file ect

So then idk what to do if someone can help me i really appreciate it

Because i wanna root or flash back to root thanks


Also i have the motorola drivers already in stalled

I've never been able to get the SDK to work properly, so I rooted following this method:

Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

It was pretty straightforward and easy, so I'd recommend trying this method out if you can't get the other one to work.

I just followed the version from your first post and it worked fine for me. You also need to make a folder for rootdroid so it's c:/rootdroid that's where you extract your Rageagainstthecage into.

Just follow the directions precisely and it will work I promise!

Yes i got the guide to work somehow now . i get to these steps

1.) Enable usb debugging if you dont already have it enabled




Go to settings on your phone
then applications
then development
check the box for usb debugging



2.) Extract rageagainstthecage.zip to c:\droidroot
3.) Connect your phone to the computer via usb cable
4.) on the computer open the command prompt. (In the start menu under accessories)
5.) cd to your adb tools directory. For most the command would look like this cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
6.) adb devices (This should list a device as a long number under list of devices. If it doesnt something is wrong.)
7.) adb push c:\droidroot\rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin /data/local/tmp


and then i get this
