Accessories What headphones are you using?

Head-fi.org is the best place to look as far as information goes - they even have a post in the forums rating/reviewing over 100 IEMs o_o. Not sure if that's the type you're looking for, but I can link to it if you want.

I currently use a pair of Head-Direct REO IEMs that I got last month. The clarity on them is absolutely amazing, really makes bluegrass-like music stand out (helps the other genres too, just that's what struck me the most).

Sorry, I rarely use the phone (yay shyness), but when I do it's just using the phone itself.

If your current ones are the wrong size, I'm sure there are plenty of adapters you could use instead of getting a new pair. Unless you're using it as an excuse - then knock yourself out!

I make hands free calls via my plantronics BT earpiece but I do listen to music and movies on my v-moda bass. I use them on my mp3 player at the gym. Seriously for $15 at amazon they cannot be beat. Its true they rarely last more than a year but again for the money they are very good

Are you running an amp with these? Or just plug them into your phone?

I'm using Skull Candy gun metal black ear buds for less than $20 sometimes. Great sound and affordable. I've tried other "better" ones such as the $30 Sony ear buds, but always go back to Skull Candy. I refuse to pay $100 for ear buds.
I hear ya there. No slam on people who do pay for the expensive stuff. Its their $$ and more power to them. But I've put the $99 Bose ones in my ears and compared to my v-moda's for less than $20 I didnt walk away from that listening experience wowed by the Bose. In fact, to my ear I almost liked my vmoda's more. In the end I'd call it a draw for me. So factor in price, done deal.
Bottom Line is people will find what they like and pay what it costs

For on the road I have a pair of the Bose In-Ear buds. I am not a Bose fan but for 100 bucks at the time they were better than the Shures that i had gotten before it and took back because the Shures had absolutely ZERO bass.

+1

These are the only ear buds I've found that don't hurt my ears. I could wear these all day and the sound is amazing!

Unfortunately, it turned out that my SkullCandy ear buds and possibly some others that are mentioned on this thread are not compatible with the Fascinate. I have to take my earphones out in order to take a call. I was told to look for headphones with three green lines on the metal input.

I decide to order the samsung earbuds:

Galaxy S Hands Free Headset, Black (3.5mm Stereo) | Samsung Mobile

Ill let you know how good they are when I get them.

Hello all... recently made the switch from an iPhone to my Fascinate; one of the best personal decisions I've made in awhile.... but I digress. I miss the ability to use the little remote/button thingy on my iPhone headphones to not only pause/play music & answer calls but to also move forward to the next song or backwards to the beginning of the song playing or the previous song. I've gone into the settings/preferences of a couple of the music player apps I downloaded and clicked on allowing playback controls thru the headphones, but double or triple clicking the button (done on an iPhone's headphones) didn't affect anything. I was wondering if this capability was attainable thru the right headphones (fingers crossed), a "settings" adjustment on the phone, or just not available on the Fascinate....yet.

I received my Samsung headphones, sound is excellent but the bass is better on the skull candy. Which kind of bothers me. I'm still on the lookout for the perfect earbuds for me I guess (that don't cost an arm and a leg).

Gevis, do those have the inline mic for phone calls bc otherwise they wont be compatible with phone calls.

Another thing I noticed is music still plays when you unplug incompatible headphones, when it would normally pause when you do that.

mettle, I dont know but I'm on the look out for that too.

Nope. No inline mic unfortunately. I don't sue the music player, I use pandora. So it pauses when I unplug. I really hope this si something they fix with 2.2 though. It rarely happens for me, but when it does, it turns into an issue (Mostly when I'm in my vehicle and I have it in a dock.

I got the SoundMAGIC PL50s for $39 from a private party.

The sound is UNREAL, even without an amp. I love the silicone ear hooks, too. These ear phones are noted for their comfort, which I did not know the meaning of until I put them on.

I can wear these all day and not feel the cartilage in my ears ache from use.

If anyone is looking for a good pair of ear phones:
