publicanimal - OK, misunderstanding on both ends. Lets start over.
I manually sync to keep the battery going as long as possible (typically over a week between charges). I work 60 hours a week as a field service mechanic, and generally my only need for email is when I am waiting for a diagram, trouble shooting tree, or...instructions on how a thing comes apart and back together again (a bit more involved than "basic" instructions...sorry had to take that shot
)
I keep personal info off the phone. No passwords, I do not log into banks or anywhere I have a credit card stored for purchases. My personal address is not on the phone, nor is there any details about me. This is a personal security matter. If the phone gets lost or stolen, I have less to worry about, and address after the fact.
There are however pictures on my web albums that I do not want available to viewing other than secured login via home computer. Personal items, property, vehicles, ect (nothing illicit or illegal).
The same reason that I do not keep insurance or registration in my vehicles. They are in my wallet at all times. If my vehicle gets stolen while I am shopping, then the thieves don't know where I live and go on a shopping trip of their own while I am stranded waiting for the LEOs to arrive to make a report.
Anyhow....
Yes...nice feature...I can see the handiness...want it gone.
