Root no tether with baked snack 1.8

I installed this tonight , and yes I wiped everything. I can't get tether to work. Any ideas? Also, where can I get this #6 kernel everyone is flashing over this Rom. I know its built in but i guess people are reporting it being more smooth with that flashed over.

Wireless and wired tether both work fine for me.

It may depend on which wifi tether app you're using. The one that you get in the market has been giving people trouble. You should get the one from the google site.

On the right you will see a couple links. I am using the one with pre9 in the filename and it is working fine. Most others using pre9 are reporting good results

Nobody is going to twist your arm if you do not donate. Join the forums and get your downloads. I have tried other ROMS and BackedSnack 1.8 with #6 kernel is by far the best in my opinion. You will find what your looking for there.

You could try one of the earlier public releases to get a feel for the build. I liked 1.7 a lot and that's why I donated when 1.8 was coming out.

Snack 1.8 does not require the theter app,the hotspot feature works just fine.

Ditto. I loved and was super happy with Baked 1.7 so I gave my support by donating. I bragged about it and even made a video. I've never even heard of 1.8 then so I had no intentions of getting that early nor getting kernel 6 on its own.

Sprint Hotspot

I tried to activate the Sprint Hotspot feature but I got the same error I used to get until I paid the $30 to Sprint.

The wireless tether app from android allows me to do it for free.

I'm not getting any errors while trying to activate the hotspot and don't pay Sprint anything.

Try this, don't down load from the market, go here.......
Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Project Hosting on Google Code

First try 2.0.5 pre-9, if no go try the pre-8. That should get you going!
