Root zapX for X

This is the first RC of my zapX Rom for Droid X. It's fast as @#!*% and is very, very customized. There is still some Blur left, but very little. There are 4 Different versions of this rom, each run 2.2 froyo but run different launchers. This saves more system space and makes the system run even faster.

I would like to take a time out and thank everybody that reported all the errors in the RC1, you guys were great. The first revision didn’t hack it, this update is rocking it out. It’s zippy. Makes me wanna zap myself. I wanna thank Team Black Hat for providing me with the Droid X 2.3.15 update file so I could use the system files especially p3droid for his work as you see I still have given them full credit in the update, and Webst3r at alldroid for the anyoneupdate.zip file.

NEW INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS, VERY IMPORTANT:

***Note: Make sure you have 2.2 previously installed (if not I recommend downloading team black hats app and download Froyo 2.3.1.5 move it from the team black hat folder in your sdcard to the root of your sdcard, reboot recovery and install zip.)***

-Run the Droid X Bootstrapper App
-Boot into Bootstrap Recovery
-Create a Nandroid back up if you like to be safe
-Go into Mounts and Storage
-Format System
-Format Data
-Format Cache
-Mount System (MAKE SURE TO DO THIS STEP)
-Install Zip From SDCard
-Select the zapX rom of your choice
-Select Yes
-Reboot Your System
-The first boot will take a little bit, but then zap, it’s zippy as @#!*% .

Rubix is stripped down more, I like this cause it has the car dock and some minor stuff. I didn't get to run Rubix long though, so I couldnt give a fair comparison.

What's the Zeam launcher? I think I'll try that just to see.

Yeah my X is all setup with LPP and I'll probably use it in the end.

Seems like an interesting rom, kept some of the more useful Blur things I like, if I didn't have 10 hours worth of being at college tomorrow start at 930 tomorrow morning I would try this tonight, maybe tomrrow we'll see.

I've noticed a small problem with all these ROMS if you have 2.2 and backup to the cloud. Since it reinstalls all your apps you pretty much have the same ROM installed no matter what you flash.

Im trying out the LP version and it says its using 2.3.9...I thought it was suppose to be using 2.3.15?

It says 2.3.9 but it is still 2.3.15 there is nothing to worry about there. It does not affect the system or market at all.

Guys I will be updating this site as well on the Rom so I suggest checking out the new forum I made which is also updated. You can also visit my site the link is in the thread. If you like the rom, I take donations. I'm just a broke college student who has stayed up since saturday night working on this for all of you guys! Of course I'm going to continue to do so, and I'm also beginning another rom called KennedyX Rom.

Its built off the leaked .15 from TBH because when it started it said team black hat visit mydroidworld for more info...

Dumb question, sorry came from Windows Mobile. We can install Roms over other custom roms without going back to sbf correct?
