Help blue LED light not working

Does anyone know how i can fix this without having to reinstall the Rom again?
i noticed that when i receive and sms with handcent the blue led light does not come on and i constantly have to check if i have any sms's, ive tried every colour under the handcent settings but none make my LED come on when i receive an sms

the LED does work however when charging and getting missed calls.

any suggestions or thoughts please?

Desire only has the yellow colour however no idea why its not coming on.

Have you got Notification flash enabled in the phone's Display settings? Have you tried different notification colours in Handcent? I presume you've tried rebooting the phone?

I beg to differ Chris 290 as I have seen the blue LED on my Desire but I seemed to have lost it now I have debranded. Not to worry.

OK, stand corrected - have not managed to change any colours on mine but only tried after froyo. After a google search it seems that some rooted users have got coloured led working after froyo.

I would love to be able to change the colour myself.

Please correct me again if I'm wrong on this

I'm on 2.2 & not rooted.

Further to previous comment, I was using chompsms and the various options for different LED colours had stopped working. Changed to Handcent and colours are working fine. Perhaps chompsms doesn't like 2.2.
